Chrisp Street Retail Centre Study

About

Chrisp Street is part of the Lansbury Estate, built after bomb damage in 1951. The retail area including a covered market has been in decline for a number of years, hit by other major shopping centres such as Canary Wharf nearby.  The area is to be redeveloped quite substantially and we suggested ways of making a positive partnership between the HARCA, the chosen developers and the retail and market traders.   The suggestions centred around pro-active management of all public space and the retail area and the re-use of vacant space.
