We won the tender to review the operation of this historic Charter Market in Woolwich town centre which was undergoing major change at the time – with the advent of the arrival of the Docklands Light Railway and a large number of mixed use redevelopment schemes. The market square was about to be relandscaped and this work was aimed at tying in with that. We undertook trader surveys and reviewed the management regime as well as the logistics operations (set up, break down, waste handling etc). We devised a strategy for lifting the market up and changing the management approach.
