We were employed by Yorkshire Forward to work on the market aspects of the town centre redevelopment plans following Will Alsop’s strategy. We under took a review of the markets in the town centre including financial assessments, a business plan and advice on management strategies. Our views were included in the development briefing process.

| Results | The scheme has been through several developers and iterations. In 2012 it has been renamed “Marketplace Barnsley”. The scheme is now being undertaken by Wilson Bowden and Ashcroft Estates with CZWG and Holder Mathias Architects. The plans include an indoor market, a shopping centre, a series of restaurants and a six-screen cinema with completion planned for 2015 |
