Chelsea Courtyard

At the heart of Chelsea village on the fashionable King’s Road, the Chelsea Courtyard is a secluded group of shops and restaurants nestling between two exceptionally handsome Victorian office buildings. USM’s subsidiary company Chelsea Space Management has managed the complex since 2002 on behalf of the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust.

Of the two buildings, No. 250 King’s Road is a fine essay in Victorian Tudor, with tall chimneys, a gabled facade in red brick, and stone dressings and mullion dating back to 1883. Behind it across the Courtyard, No. 151 Sydney Street has a red brick frontage with exuberant stone detail, topped by domed turrets.

In the Courtyard between, visitors will find a genuine organic brasserie, a jolly noodle bar (both al fresco), a beauty clinic, hair salon and reflexology parlour, as well as one of London’s most select antique arcades. Most are open seven days a week.

In the neighbouring office buildings, among USM’s tenants are prominent companies in the fashion, design and public relations business, including Patrick Cox, Halpern Associates, Haines McGregor, Tom Ford Studios, Reed Creative and Mirabel Edgedale.
